We had great week with Vicky and Neil, exploring Wellington from their city centre pad. Lots of eating and drinking and generally enjoying being in a bigger city than we've been used to. We're working our way up to coping with London, via Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney. We still managed to find some rural based activities - walks up Mt Vic, at Makara Bay and up Mt Johnston, and a good day trip to Sommes Island. Urban highlights included cocktails in a hideaway bar that only those in the know, know, a 'colossal' squid at Te Papa and Monsters vs Aliens in 3D (complete with red and green glasses). I also managed to buy some more shoes, to add to our bulging-at-the-seams Subaru.
