Well we have generally been getting to a site, usually powered (for the excellent electric fan heater we bought recently :-) at about 5 or 6:00 (by the way its proper dark by 6). we have to sort out the back of the van for the evening, put all our stuff in suitable places set up the table and then have a couple of snacks, crisps, cream crackers, dips anyone?
Then it’s chopping, slicing and cooking, given that we only have 2 small gas burners and a grill we are doing ok for different foods: stir fry, omelettes, Mexican, Chinese, curry, egg and beans on toast, pasta, fish, lots of veg, tonight it was soup and egg fried rice, all good. Then showers and or wash.
By which time its 8:30
We then talk, read, write, sort out the days photos and usually mess on the internet if the site has wifi of course, brilliant invention.

Sometimes we watch a bit of 24, Simpsons or anything else we have kicking around on the computer.
9:30 - 10 and its time for bed, one of us will sort the bed room out whilst the other does teeth
We are generally off to the land of nod at 10:30 job done.
Of course this is all on its head if we are freedom camping (roughing it gypsy traveller style) we’ve twice parked at the side of the road and just slept there, well its sounds worse than it is, both times we had nice quiet spots overlooking the sea :-)
The main thing with ‘freedom’ camping is 1. lack of toilet facilities and 2. no power (this is an issue because its freezing at night an no power = no heat, brrrr. its Australia... who would have thought it would be cold).
Freedom campsite No 2
